Experienced Litigator and Advocate for Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Victims

My name is Jennifer DiPillo, and I am running for Judge for Magisterial District Court 32-2-48 in the Primary on May 20, 2025.

I have earned over 20 years of trial and courtroom experience as a litigator and advocate for sexual assault and violent crime victims in Delaware County. I am currently the Director of a Law Project for a Delaware County nonprofit.

My law project has provided pro-bono legal services for thousands of men, women, children, and families. I LOVE MY JOB. It is my sincere honor to help people and be the guiding light in someone’s darkest moments when they need it most. After doing this important work for 20 years, I believe I can bring that same empathy and work ethic to the bench.

ABOUT JENNIFER

Jennifer DiPillo was born and raised in the Overbrook Park section of West Philadelphia. She attended St. Callistus Parochial elementary school and went on to West Philadelphia Catholic High School and was a member of the first co-ed graduating class. After graduation, Jennifer attended Villanova University where she majored in Political Science and minored in English. After graduation, she attended Villanova’s Paralegal certificate program where she graduated first in her class and won a prestigious award for achieving a perfect score. Jennifer’s first job out of college was as an account manager for a record retrieval company where many of her clients were law firms. During this time she became more interested in the law and made the life-changing decision to attend law school at night after work, thereby allowing her to still work and gain practical knowledge. She attended Widener University School of Law. She participated in a legal clinic where she was sworn in before the Delaware Supreme Court and was able to practice law under the guidance of a supervising attorney. This clinic was a pro bono program designed to assist domestic violence victims with various legal matters. It was here that she found her passion for using the law to help others. After graduation from law school with honors, Jennifer worked for a mid-sized construction litigation law firm.

Shortly thereafter, Jennifer found her true calling in legal services. This opportunity came from four victim service agencies (one in each of the four collar counties surrounding Philadelphia; Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery) who had applied for, and received, a grant under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Their new endeavor was a civil legal service project which would assist sexual assault, stalking and domestic violence victims with various legal issues. Jennifer was hired in 2002 to be one of two attorneys under this new project. Jennifer was assigned to the Courts in Delaware and Chester counties. She worked with victims and assisted them with various legal issues. These issues included family law matters (child/spousal support, child custody, divorce, protection from abuse), housing issues, education issues (including Title IX), contract matters, landlord-tenant matters, and immigration.

Currently, Jennifer is still with the organization, albeit with some changes. The program works under different funding and is dedicated to Delaware county. Jennifer is now the Director of the Law Project. The project was able to expand in 2018 to include victims of other serious crimes including robbery, assault, and surviving family members of a homicide. For nearly two decades, Jennifer has regularly appeared in court and is a skilled trial attorney with a quick legal mind matched only by the many practical solutions she comes up with for her clients on any given day. She is a thoughtful person who treats each client as if they were her only one. As a result of her experience with helping victims, she has learned to always be patient and open-minded. She is a good listener and an attorney who is respected by Judges, court staff, colleagues and clients alike.

Jennifer and her husband Vince of twenty-three years are the proud parents of three children, twin sons Vincent and AJ, 19, and Daphne, 15. They have made Edgmont, PA home for the past 20 years.
